As with all plated metals, tungsten must be electroplated in order to change color from its original shiny silver property. This process creates a thin "hang" line inside of the ring. "Hang" lines may sometimes appear as scratches. RED TUNGSTEN rings have a thicker than normal "hang" line that may expose the natural silver property of tungsten, thereby leaving some silver spots inside the ring. This occurs INSIDE the ring ONLY. The silver spots cannot be seen while wearing the ring. There are no "hang" lines or silver spots OUTSIDE of the ring.
